Last week I'm going down the road, decide to get on it and the throttle sticks somehow. I'm freaking out while I'm just coasting down the street in neutral w/ it bouncing off the rev limiter. About 5 seconds go by till I pull back my floor mat. The f'n mat got wedged under the gas pedal.

Then last night I'm going to down the same stretch of road and I floor it 1st, 2nd, and go to 3rd and all of a sudden the car starts bouncing and jerking like I just ran over a bunch of speed bumps @ 60 mph. The whole console was bouncing. Freaked me out even though it only lasted a second.

I know I did not miss the gear, I think I forced it into 3rd too hard and maybe bent a shift fork or something. I don't know. It's got the factory Hurst shifter which does not have adjustable stops. It seems okay today. No gears grinding or fluid leaking or anything like that.

Any idea what could have happened?
