you can use the truck ecu. I think there are some differences in the wiring. don't quote me but I hve heard there are some things in different locations and such. but the ecu isn't such a big deal what it came from because once you mod it, it will have to be tuned anyways and it can just be tuned to whatever you have. there are alot of places capable of tuning ls motors, and conveniently they can be tuned via the OBD port. so no burning and swapping chips like the older ones. your best betfor the crossmember and such can be sourced from the junkyard. usually they just pull the engine and trans and lave the crossmember and sometimes the harness and ecu, and every once in awhile they will leave a decent rear end. check the LKQ yards they are usually pretty good about having some good stuff still on their cars

Here's one way to do it with a wrecked donor car. You won't be able to use a V6 transmission. The 3800 bellhousing bolt pattern is different then GenIII.
