lost my key fob, alarm wont shut off
Well a few days ago i lost my key fob and thought nothing of it since I usually use the lock key to lock my doors. well my battery died, now everytime i hook the battery up the alarm goes wild.
how can i bypass the alarm , or atleast get it turned off so I can start my car?
any help will be great.....

I believe I saw your post on LS1tech... But new key FOB is the ultimate fix, you may look into getting the VATS tuned out... Have you tried hooking up the battery and imediately having someone put the key in and try to start it. I believe I read somewhere theres a few second delay on the alarm going off after hooking up the batt. But cant remember...
well, ultimate crap fix is to figure out the 10-20 different resistances that get used, go to radioshack and buy all the resistors, and splice them into your VATS line individually until it works(remember to wait 5 or 6 minutes for the VATS to allow you another try)....easier would be find someone with some tuning software to disable the VATS in the ecu, but that may cost more, but take alot less time..so you decide.
on a random side note, instead of buying all those resistors and having to take the unused back, buy a potentiometer resistor. you can adjust the resistance on it to match the factory settings, would be easier than resplicing and all that..then once you find it keep it there, or put in the correct resistor.
