Question V8 S-10 issue???

Whats going on guy's. I think this is my first posting in the Chebby section. However issues with a toy of mine makes me seek out yuo chevy guy's.

Here is the gist of my issues. I put a 1991 trans am gta l98 350 in my 1999 Hombre (Like s10 just nicer) I installed everything its mated up to a 700r4. Currently its running open headers until I get the cut drive shaft back to make it up to the muffler shop. But the motor is now carb'd and running a holley double pump with a holley street dominator intake manifold.

And now the issue the motor turns right over, But when you rev it up you have a slowly open the thottle, and when it calms down it idles for maybe 2 secs then dies. Any advise would be good on where to look first.

didnt that Hombre use to be EFI? If so what are you using as a fuel pump to feed that small block?

The complete tank is removed and a fuel cell in the bed, With a mech fuel pump on the engine

Ok got it to idle, But still dies and hesitates when given gas. Im thinking the carb may be too bg for the motor? Or needs rebuild?

vacuum is about -15
Fuel pressure stays about 5psi

5-9psi is good... 15psi will blow the needle off the seat in the carb and flood out the motor
