if it has a TV cable, adjust until the TV cable until there is no slack, the tighter you adjust the harder it will shift

i wish that it was that simple, i have been studying up and it gets complecated when one strays from stock. follow the following links to see what i mean:

the shift points are exact but it doesnt really go into lower gears as it should at wot. i really just dont wanna mess up the tranny.

yes, everything else seems fine, shift in range (maybe a couple mph higher before shifting) with the same shifting "tone" as before. but say when i "stomp" it right when it shifs into second it doesnt down shift. any ideas?

well maybe the tv cable is not adjusted correctly. to put it simple you have someone push the gas down, push the release block and slide the cable back to the firewall, then one click more, release pedal and thats that. i just adjusted the one on my monte after rebuilding the trans and its on the money now.

I have pretty much done all this, but can you clarify to me what you mean by one click more: my cable pulls smooth with no clicking or do you mean just add 1/32 or something after full pull?

also thanks guys for pointing out to me those brackets, I will have a good time fabbing those up

needless to say this whole ordeal is a new learning experience to me, not as easy to deal with as the full manual powerglide in my Monte, but still fun to broaden my knowledge.
