a 1980 z28 prolly runs around 20 seconds in the quartermile--no joke--those are heave ass cars and had very weak motors...

not quick...no offense to any 2nd or 3rd gen fbody owners but i would tell him to go by a cheap LT1 and build it up unless he plans on building it up big time like into a pro stocker or something

3rd gens are alright--if you get the 91 or 92---92 cranked out 245hp and 340ft/lbs--thats not aweosome but its a good start---i know the l98 isnt all that but it is ok-----with heads/cam and boltons youll have a pretty bad ass car.....and i love 3rd gens look over all except 1st gens----3rd gens just look so mean.....i owned 2 3rd gens and both were great cars .....
