Default so while changing the exhaust manifold

i discovered that the person who had replaced it before me had cross threaded the bolt and now me and my dad are trying to remove it.. my dad said that we are going to have to tap the block, i have no idea how to do that, We have the bolt down to a shell and the inside completely drilled out.... and now i found out that advance auto parts sold me the wrong bolt... Advance FTMFL!!!

......why are you tapping/coiling the block when its your head with the loose bolt.

if you can do it in the car, wonderful...but i would pull the head, drill the hole while not hitting a water jacket, and then helicoil it and be done with it.
