So I am kicking around the idea of trading in my STi for a C6, I spent yesterday driving around and did a few test drives and I was very happy.

I never liked Corvettes, until I was at a track event and they had a few there to drive. Took it out for a ride and was very impressed.

I love my Subaru but I only get to drive it on the weekends and it is not the "Fun Weekend Car".

My question is what are your thoughts on your C6?? What do you love and what do you hate??? Just be honest, dont be the OMG Vettes rule all. Give me an hinest opinions.


Here are my opinions. I love the styling and looks, will take some time getting used to not really seeing everything around me.

How easy is it to work on your own?? (oil changes, tune ups, etc..).

Car seats where not that comfortable, especialy for a long drive..

Would imagine driving in the rain would not be as fun as my Subaru.

Any input would be awesome.

I don't have the pleasure of having a C6. I do have a C5 it's an 01 ZO6 that only has 26k on it.....OMG the cars are so awesome. I have the fixed roof....what a nice handling ride. I traded an 06 GT Stang for it...it was that much better....

it is a much different animal than your sti. you will love the fact you got out of the subby and into the vette. then again there is going to be stuff you miss about the subby. mostly the awd. go with the vette.

 

What are you bonkers? Get into that Vette already. Sorry but any C6 > STI.

 

I'm on the fence. I own a 402whp GSX and a 415whp C5 and cant really decide which is better.

In appearance C5>C6>C4

It looks pretty nice especially with the wheels from the other thread in GCC. It has a real big ass Im not a fan of, but you can't beat the power flatform. C6 All day long.

 

I like the FRC type vettes....my ZO6 is bad ass.....The C5's handle so well....mine only has 27k on it.....I'm sure the C6's are nice...but do they have the FRC? or are they all hatch type??
I can't wait to spray mine.....

 

hey man sup? long time no talk... i also traded my car in for a vette.. but i strongly recommend you to get either C6 with Z51 package or C5 Z06 .. mine is 03 C5 Z06 , i also test drove few C6 s and for some reason liked C5 z06 better ..C6 Z06 is another animal but couldn't afford it ..i sometimes miss my STI but , i'm so happy with my Z , since we live in florida ..i'm gonna bring my Z to the Suby meet this saturday , hit me up if you wanna come look at it , c ya
