Question Problems with a 86 2.8 camero

Yo i got a knocking sound coming form the right side of my engine and when i come to stops the car will sometimes shut off. I am not sure what the problem is because i thought it was oil but i appears that the oil level is fine. If anyone has tips please let me know what i should be looking for. This is my first chevy and american car so i am not familar with things. Hit me up here or on any of my PM addresses. AIM: darksaige13 Y! zrowildfire13 hotmail magmadragoon13.
