01 camaro ss and electrical problem

Default 01 camaro ss and electrical problem

the battery gauge went down slowly and later needed a jump

I thought alternator or starter but....

after having the jump everything electrical went haywire and the car wouldnt even run right.

any suggestions diagnosis?

Ah... delicious problems. What kind of haywire are you talking about? The everything-turns-off-and-doesn't-come-back-on haywire OR arcing-in-the-plugs haywire?

have the battery and altenator tested. Make sure your battery cables are clean and well connected. 90% of the time this will fix it.

When the battery dies, the car will run funny and even stall some. The PCM has been reset and has to "relearn" everything again.

The battery is dead and you need a new one. When the voltage is low it will do all kinds of crazy shit
