i recently got a 88 camaro thats super clean free!.it runs but sounds like its running on 3-4 cyl of out the 6.. i do not plan on modding the 2.8 at all..maybe making it run decent for a few months. the guy i got it from said that he thinks the timing skipped but when i put the motor at tdc and checked the distributer it was spot on.. ive checked all the injectors and they spray nice plugs are new
compression is good ..maf is not the problem.. it kinda sounds like its in limp mode or something..

it runs super rough anyone have any idea why this could be?
and what is involved with making this a 5 spd car?

 

also the car has a fresh rebuilt 700r4 tranny i would like to sell or trade for 5 spd stuff

 

Jump the connectors right under the dash the furthest right ones, on the top and bottom with the ignition turn to on. count how many times the check engine light blinks, 1 long = 10 1 short =1.

what 5 speed tranny do you have.. and do you have any of the other swap stuff pedals flywheel? ect?

if i was to sell it i have the paperwork that says 700 for the stuff so i think 400 would be a good starting point if im way off in what they are worth say so
