Default LE2 Heads/ LE2.3 cam combo.... results

Ive been taking it easy on the car for the most part since the new engine rebuild. Its got a 11.3:1 static compression forged 355 cu in LT1. So i wanted to wait awhile until I had some time to actually get on it hard... but tonight I couldnt help it.. I just had to know if my money that was spent on heads/cam was worth it.. now ive done 4 other heads/cam combos but this is the first one that was matching heads/cam... and Im running 275/40/17 Nitto drag radials on the back..... so i was nearing my house... and You know that feeling where you cant take it anymore.. and you just have to give it alittle gas to go... well I was cruising about 25mph and I gave 1st gear full throttle... and Ive come to the conclusion that 1st gear full throttle is useless unless I get sticker/wider tires than the 275's. I got on it for about 1 second and the car kicked the rearend way out to the left. Im not sure if i could have maintained control of the car if i wouldnt have let off the gas. Im sure the car is pretty close to 500hp at the crank. Dont have time to put it on a dyno for the next month in a half or so... So guess we'll have to see then....

yeah LE2 cars put down 390-400rwhp consistantly so I wouldn't doubt 500+ crank hp with higher compression

I think you will fair alright if you put on some new nittos/MT's! The ones on there are at least 2 years old!

Even those KDWs are old. You bought those 2 years ago. Get some freshies!

No, that wasnt 10 lbs. Maybe 5. I've still got a ton in my freezer tho
