mine do it whenever it starts to get cold outside, I just spray some multipurpose lubricant on the like gear and shaft thingie

Yeah, buttsex takes a good amount of lube.

I'd just leave it that way and wear it as a badge of pride with the rest of the sounds F-Bodies make. If you fix it then you're no longer a true F-body owner.

ThirdGen.org , in the FAQ they have a section on replacing the door hinges and stud.
