Default question

im gettin an 82 camaro. it look to be slightly different than the 88 or so iroc z camaro. now this is a very dumb question (i think) but are the only things different from the 2 the hood, fenders, front bumber and taillights or is the structure a little different as well. the newer ones rear quarter panels look a little wider. thanks.

The main body is the same. The quarters are also the same.

If you wanna lower it, keep it like that. Or curbs will own you.

better than nothing really because any performance parts for SBCs are dirt ass cheap. funny though the 5.7 wasn't available until a few years later so it might be a decent aftermarket swap possibly close to 200HP. if you looked at it wrong and it is a 5.0 then you have a busted ass 145HP in which eliminate all the restricted exhaust and bullshit emissions crap in hopes to gain maybe 10 ponies. after that cam the shit out of it and get long tubes. you can always swap an LT1 for better gains (270 stock) but at the expense of paying out the ass for headers and a new opti. i raced a 3rd gen with a slightly modified LT1 swap and it kept up with me pretty well especially with the 4.10's out back.

an LT1 is gonna be a little $$$ too but not as expensive as say buying coil packs for an LS1. if your motor really is a 350 then you got a good inexpensive potential powerhouse. it prolly wont rev nearly as high as an LT1 or LS1 (maybe 4500-5000) but the performance parts for a plain ol 350 are sooo much more cheaper. fuck it man... go balls out and get the LS7!!!
