Default Help Please

I bought a 1988 RS Camaro.

Problem is there is a coolant leak and car gets hot if I drive for an hour or more and I have to put more water in it. What I am asking is what could be causing this problem? And how much would it cost to be fixed? Other then this the car runs and drives strong and no other problems at all.

Thanks,
Sam

theres a couple things that could be leaking, just find where the leak is coming from: radiator, hoses, heater hoses, water pump. just look around where it's wet

go rent a coolant system pump....its basically a radiator cap with a hand pump and a guage, pump it up to about 7psi then look on the ground for coolant and trace it

don't use stop leak, it'll clog up your cooling system

Factory radiator has plastic side tanks, try to get a replacement with metal side tanks if you plan on keeping the car for a while.
