Default supercharger ?'s

well i might be buyin a paxton from a buddy of mine, its only the backet and head unit and piping, i was wondering what else i would need...i kno i need the box that covers the carb for the air from the supercharger..but what about fuel pressure and stuff like that...the motor is a 1st gen 350...it came out of a old blazer its still pretty much stock..any advice would be helpful.

thanks,
steven

gauges for the boost, wiring, some internal stuff wouldnt hurt...but you dont have to do it.

Ignition upgrades, plugs, and the fuel pump are probably the key things.

make sure you get good belts. what kind of blower(paxton is the sister company of vortech) and make sure it lets the boost blow back through unless you have a bov, keeping the impellar speed reasonable will insure it doesnt come apart.........what kind of motor?

superchargers are a pain in the ass, but once its up and running its usually ok. getting all the bugs worked out is the hard part.
here are some of the mods I had to do (i'm fuel injected though):
areomotive1300 fuel pump
fuel lines 12 feed 10 return
modified fuel rail
injectors
3 different pressure regulators
fuel pressure guage
boost guage
timing retard module
mine had an intercooler with a stupid valve (it got removed)
mas air sensor

i still have to get rid of the rubber hoses that baloon up under boost. getting a bigger blower cause the belt slip is stopping my hp development, and its hard to tune properly when you get a different amount of boost every pull.
