I'm looking for a F-body Prefer a LS1 powered Camaro. What the best years for the Ls1 and what some of the best part to throw in it for power?

Get a 01 or 02 as stated. No EGR system, LS6 intake was stock as was the LS6 clutch. They also didnt have the failing oil pumps. As for upgrades, just the basic bolt ons and they respond very well to. Headers, exhaust, lid, filter and a tune will net you ~350 - 360 RWHP or so.

^ The "failing" oilpumps were in the 98-99 year, IMO 2001-2002 are way over priced, most if not all are in the 20k+ range w/ 50k miles.

I might be selling mine soon, but its a Trans Am not a Camaro.

145k on a 98 and stock oil pump. No issues here!

But just like any other car, the newer the better!

I think the first run of the 2000s got the left overs too. Humm... 20k for 50k miles?!?! I wonder what mine would go for since it just rolled 40k. Its damn near perfect too... hummm.....

damn. I bought my 01 almost 2 years ago with 16k miles and only paid $18500.

as far as mods go, basically the ones that have already been stated, plus a good tune, and I don't mean Hypertech or any other hand held unit. Are you looking for an auto or manual trans
