Patriot heads for Ls1?
I got a question about the heads that Patriot sell's.On paper they seem like great heads for a great price, almost too great. There $800 cheaper than AFR's and supposedly flow really well.Has anyone around been running them?I'd like to know what you guy's think about them.Thank's
They had alot of issues with quality back in the day but they seemed to have cleaned up their act some. It is a good ported head for the budget racer in mind.
If you have the extra money def go for the nicer head though.

I've been wondering about these heads, too. The search feature on LS1tech isn't letting me search threads older than Jan 1 2006 and I'm having a hell of a time finding info.
How do these heads stack up in power production compared to some of the more expensive offerings? How much power are you leaving on the table on, say, a basic 224/224 stock shortblock setup compared to some of the better heads on the market?

They always seemed to perform where you would expect a budget head to perform....lower than the primo heads. However if your cam, motor, headers match up to those heads just right you can get surprsingly nice #'s. I have a seen a few people get REAL nice #'s. It's just not as consistent like the big dogs....

I agree with everything Eddie said so there not much more I can add except you will get what you pay for. Dont expect the world from a budget head. There have been the "freaks", but they are just that.
That's what I expected, thanx for the help guys.
