Default 94 Trans AM LT1, turbo bound

My cousin wants to turbo his trans am. i think starting off he wants to run stock internalls and spend around $3,000-4,000. We are more interested in a single turbo set up with a fmic.

Any suggestions or links which will help would be greatly appriciated.

what Hp range would be safe? amount of boost,
what do people do for oil control to the turbo on these cars. i have heard that on corvetts it is needed to run a pump to get the oil back into the oil pan.
any piggy backs available out there for this ride.

Most of my experience is on DSM's and i lack info on these cars like what is even available out there for them.

just to mention, we will fab up the headers to hold the turbo
will be putting on methane injection to help protect the stock pistons

thanks all

For that amount get the STS rear mount turbo set up. Bolts on rather quickly and easily and seems to be getting decent #'s. I would also suggest methanol vs methane.

rods wont hold IMO, but the crank is good for 550fwhp.

the junkyard rear mount is the way to go if you want affordability, and keeping a forged bottom end + turbo kit setup for under 4500 dollars. i even have a little baby turbo cam here for an LT1 that would be perfect for a mild turbo build. i also have an alcohol injection kit for sale aswell...specifically for a 4th gen fbody. dont need no stinkin FMIC.
