good gas mileage from the 3.8. thats about it. If you think the 3.8 has power, then you should consider swapping to the mighty 3.4, omg that is a torque monster, will drop two, count em, two seconds off your quarter mile et

Don't get me wrong, it still ain't anything too special. A halfway built V8 would stomp all over it...And a twin turbo V8 would throw asphalt in its face.

...why 3.8's are killer motors...

"In Tuscaloosaville, SD, a gentleman survived in freezing cold conditions and a blizzard for over 12 days. When asked how he survived, he pointed to his still burning 1995 V6 Camaro. According to the survivor, the car hit black ice and ran into a tree, where the car was engulfed in flames. Luckily, the high magnesium content of the V6 allowed it to burn for days on end, finally catching the tree it had hit on fire, and drawing suspicion from over 20 miles away from the local fire and rescue."

true story...i swear.

Just as an aside. Are there any differences between the 3800 in my Lesabre, the 3800 in the V6 Camaro, and the 3800 in this guy's Impala?

well, the biggest notable differences would be that...one is in a lesabre, one is in a camaro, and one is in an impala...
