Default 91 s-10 mud racing bound

i plan on building up my 91 s-10 4.3. i just want to know if the tranny and tranfer case are strong enough to handle 700+hp. are there really any good parts for these like like input shafts.

also are there any other gear ratios for the front and rear.

should i even use this tranny and tranfer case or are they just crap?

any other suggestions.

thankx

The tranny is just another 700R4/ 4L60E. You will need to build it stronger.

The rear is just a standard 7.5" ten bolt setup. LOTS of gears out there for it. Im not sure on the front axle though. Its the same rear the F bodies use.

the 7.5 rear end is a pos.. it will only hold maybe 3-400 hp i was pushing bout 240 and ripped 3 teeth off of my pinion gear. the tranny in stock form isnt very good, its not going to hold up much either. its gonna cost a loooottt of money to get 700 hp and everything to go with it. hmm probably at least 12k doing it all your self and on a budget.. and your not gonna get above 300 hp out of a 4.3 without forced induction and then you are gonna have to get a better crank about 2k and heads abotu 1200 and fuel system and .. you know what.. this is pointless. go buy a 350 with a 350 trans mission, drop it in and fab up a 12 bolt rear end and call it a day.

yea, i didnt plan to use the 4.3. but a 383 or like a 440= 400 bored and stroked.
as for my team being able to do it. build 700hp. no problem. we have build 900hp na engine.
to be honest i have only used powerglides in my build up. i have never since my youth messed with any other gm questions. so i thought that i would get on here to ask some ?s to see what you guys knew about it
