So I picked up my first GM today...
...she is a 2001 Grand Am SE 2 door. It has 136k on the clock and everything seems alright. Are there any special things on the 3.4L v6 problem wise that I should know about? All of the electrial stuff seems to be sound/functional, but I am not into these cars enough to know the little niche issues that they may have mechanical wise.
Any links or whatknot will help me out, I am just uber busy ay work and can't spend the time to research the car like I want to.
Thanks in advance.

just keep an eye on the water pump that and the ignition coils are about the only h eadaches I know of. Also if that one has the plastic intake(don;t think it does) it will need to be replaced if it hasn;t been already.

It has a cast aluminum intake, I just checked. The only electrical gremlins consist of the hazard light switch and the turn signals. The turn signals seem to not want to operate at all, which is just fun times. I just took it out for a little spin around the neighborhood with the traction control off and damn...she has some tire spinning torque.
I'm happy with the car, but it is an investment and will be sold within a month. I just want to make sure that she's right which may sway me into keeping her.

the 3.4 motors very solid from MY experience, my old v6 camaro had 160k+ on the clock and kept taking a beating
word of advice, don't let phinger near your car
