Car starts then dies...New Install
86 Caddy Fleetwood
Ok this car was running just fine before I pulled it in to the garage to put a new audio system in it, so anyway I finshing hooking up everything and then I go to start the car it turns over and immeditaly dies. It has fuel and I didnt mess with anything under the dash, I just rand the cable and thats it. I dont know exactly what it could be that is causing this either....
Ive also noticed that my turn signals dont work anymore and my sentnal switch will come on every once in a while...The hood light seemes like it come on only when the key is turned getting ready to start the car...
I did have a keyless entry system on it that is acting weird, the remote start doesnt work anymore but it did before I started in stalling everything..
Does anyone know what this might be ? Fuse ? Crossed Wire ? Im lost....

If it's anything like my '87 FWB, there's a big ass breaker panel under the driver side dash. If you even breathe on it, it falls down and the breakers fall out. You might want to check there. Currently my front, side lights don't work because of that thing.
Otherwise, check for spark. Maybe you accidentally cut the circuit to the distributor. Is it injected or a carbed 307?

I found out what it was the next day, In the rear quarter panel there was a small ground that was cut somehow....I dont know but it was the ground for the fuel pump and the driver side tail lights.
Thanks guys
