Default Worth Modding?

I've got a 96 grand am. The exterior is in pretty good condition, and the interior is as well (pics in a few days on my garage). It's a 4 banger which kinda turns me off on modding it. I'm a pretty lazy driver as it is so I'm avoiding a stick, even though I can drive one, heh. Anyway, I was curious if the grand am is even worth modding (mostly exterior, not looking to race it, just smoke the civic kids, which i already do) or should I just not waste the cash?

i doubt that thing would beat a b16a. Leave it stock and enjoy the cheaper gas. us fast guys will be paying 3.50 soon.

Thanks heh, I think at most then I'll fix up the interior and possibly add some nicer rims and whatnot..unless I can trade it out for my mom's car. Heh, she doesn't drive that 240sx like it should be driven. I was hoping that having the engine blow on me about a month ago would lead me into getting the v6 in there, but I'm not up for replacing anything else to make the v6 compatible.
