Default Piston + Rod choice...

Hey all, Im sourcing the parts for my 455 rebuild/buildup. Id like to know what a good piston choice would be. Ive got my eye on eagle rods but Im subject to change. Any takers? Im looking for about 10.25:1 compression, but 9.5:1 or something close to that would also be fine. Forged pistons only, I want less headaches and not worry about failure.

These are going to be tied with Edelbrock performer RPM alum. heads, if that helps.

Thanks in advance!

I bought Eagle rods and Speed Pro pistons for my 383 buildup. The motor is nowhere near done though, so I can't offer opinions on them other than the price is right and they're spec'd to give me the 450hp I'm looking for easily. The Speed Pros I'm using should give me a 10.5:1 compression. They're rated for 10.4:1 compression on 64cc heads, but my deck should give me that perfect 10.5:1 I'm looking for. Talk about barely running pump gas. The rods were all balanced from the factory, the machine shop didn't have to do shit to them.

Is that the stock crank or is it aftermarket? Is it already balanced or no? What brand if it is aftermarket.

Motor sounds nice and thats about the compression ratio Im looking for. Looked into S/C but decided not worth it unless I feel like spending an extra 10gs on stiffening the chassis.

Aftermarket Eagle cast steel crank with a 3.75" stroke. I had it balanced after I bought it.
