I need to replace the auto tranny dipstick on my 1995 GTP (3.4L) because the rod broke. If any of you can help, what I need is the eight digit part number which is engraved on the rod. If any of you have a 1994 - 1995 Grand Prix GTP, Lumina, Monte Carlo or Cutlass Supreme with a 3.4L engine you can take a look at yours and let me know what that number is I'd appreciate it. I'm not sure if the rods are the same for the 3100 or the 3.4L, but I'd like to get the part number for the 3.4L.
If any of you know where I can get one, I'd appreciate it.

the tube you mean? if so just go to advanceauto.com and look up the part #

 

why not call the parts department at the dealer?

 

The local auto parts stores don't carry that particular part and the local dealers don't have them in stock.
I was able to find a replacement at a u-pull-it.
