Default Found my GM code scanner!

Well, I just looked in the garage and I found my GM code scanner. All it appears to do is pull engine or ABS codes from the onboard computer, so I don't know how useful it'll be to you guys. Also, some '94-'95 GM cars appear to have OBD-II, so this definitely won't work. I do have an OBD-II scanner too though, so whatever. So who wants to come over and use this thing?

as soon as i get the 94 camaro out of the body shop, i'm on my way. shorting the pins in the a-l-d-l in this model doesn't seem
to cause the s-e-s light to blink the codes like it's supposed to.

Hmmmm, my scan tool only plugs into OBD-I style plugs. I think it does more than just short the pins, the manual says something about staying away from radiator fans and shit because it turns on and off all the relays under the hood when you plug it in. If it's anything like the Ford tool we just used on my pop's mustang, it's bad ass. It turned on and off EVERYTHING under the hood.

If someone wants to stop by the junk yard and pull an OBD-I style plug from a car, we can totally build an adapter to plug this thing into 94-95 style plugs.

Default 94 camaro - OBD-I?

i think the 94 is obd-i, obd-i plug. if so, we should be good to go with your device. 95's may be different.
