F-Body Suspension
F-Body Suspension
Post your best set ups, and links to them to buy. my suspension has to be stock to be my best guess, and it has 135K miles on it....so im thinking its time to be replaced.
post your best opinions on a good set up. mainly, im looking for a good balance of comfort ride, traction control, and performance

if you want a great balance of anything, always buy adjustable suspension, i.e. panhard bar, lca's, stb, torque arm, etc.
as for springs, don't go too low or too soft, stock is prolly the best is you want the best of both

http://www.thunderracing.com has a great selection of bmr
I believe someone told me bmr is only done through mail-order so no performance shops will have them

RevXtreme stocks BMR and if they don't have it they can get it quick.

I'll list my setup below. When I first built the suspension I did it more for AutoXing, but now I wish I had went with different springs.
Shocks - Koni Yellows at all 4 corners - adjustable
Sway Bars - Hotchkis front and rear. Oversized cannot really remember the size right now, but its the more common Hotchkis swaybars.
Pan Hard Rod - Lakewood Adjustable - it was cheaper then most and is just as sturdy.
Torque Arm - Sphoon(sp) Adjustable TQ arm for LT's. This thing rules. It's really easy to adjust. I can do it while at the track without any problems.
Rear LAC's - T6063 (I think thats what they are called) solid aluminum LAC's. After getting these I have had more then one person say that I shouldn't have because they don't allow any side to side motion that is perferd in autoxing.
Springs - Hotchkis 1 inch lowering springs - Really wish I went with different ones. They are more of your stock spring rate, but a bit lower.
STB - Kenny Brown 3 point STB. I liked it because it looked much sturdier then they others I was looking at.
Subframe Connectors - Kenny Brown Double Diamond SFC's. Again they looked much sturdier then the others I was looking at.
Brakes - Upgraded to LS1 front brakes. $150 and stops so much better.
The car can handle a corner very well, but you feel every bump when driving anywhere.

Heard that Kenny Browns hanged too low, and if u went over a bump or had ur car lowered at all, that it would be really close to the ground??
