Default lt1 headers

just picked up the lt1 today that I will be swapping into an 80 elcamino. it was out of a 95 camaro and looks to be in good shape. the stock headers would probably work but I am looking for something with a better flow. I would like to take the single exhaust that it has and convert to dual exhaust.

I am thinking a 3" or 3.5" exhaust pipe all the way back, I have no cat.

I need to get some names of good aftermarket headers that will work in this swap, so any links or help would be appreciated. I will be looking on the net myself but personal experiences would help. thanks

Use El Camino headers. Headers are formed to the car, not to the engine. ANY small block can use headers, but you need ones to clear you suspension and steering box. I got a set of Hookers from the guys at Automotive Engineering for $150. Try Gearhead Performance, they have better prices. I have no complains about my cheapy Hookers or the Hooker pipes on my bike. They're great for the money!

+1, I don't know what I'd do without my hookers. It's almost like they give me money just for owning them.
