Default Distributor installation help

I recently removed the distributor on my 91 Z28 in order to get the intake manifold off. I marked the position of the rotor relative to the base and the position of the base relative to the block before removal, but for some reason it wont go back in the same spot(Its off about 15-20 degrees clockwise). I haven't moved the crank at all since the distributor has been removed so I have no clue what to do from here. Any advice would be appreciated.

Joe' the oil pump shaft may have moved on you? look down into the hole and note the position of it and with a long screwdriver turn it a little in either direction untill you line it up with the cam gear (may take a few tries?) this is a common problem when the distributer is removed!
