Default Cat-back exhaust advice needed

I'm thinking about getting a flowmaster 80 series cat-back kit for my Z28 but the websites that I've found them on want like 350 bucks or more for the system when the muffler itself goes for less than $100. I know that most of the power made from the cat back kit comes from the 3" mandrel bent cat to muffler pipe but I refuse to pay the extra $250 for basically that pipe alone. Can someone help me out by pointing me to a site or local shop that sells this kit or can build me an equivalent for significantly less money? Thanks

Does it come with the full cat-to-muffler pipe? Thats really my big problem right now. It looks like whoever installed the current V-force muffler took a piece of straight pipe and bent it 3 times to get it over the axle. They also welded it to the back of cat pipe and forgot to tighten down the heat shield over the axle so at certain RPMs I hear a loud twangy metallic sound. I cant get to the screw to tighten it down without moving the exhaust pipe so I want the new muffler plus piping before I tackle the job.

Sorry I don't have that pipe. when I removed the exhaust, I had someone that wanted the ypipe and intermediate pipe. Where are you located? There is an exhaust shop over here in St. Pete that I have used before that will do a good job on the exhaust. He does alot of custom work. He is located on 66st just south of Ulmerton. I can't image it would cost to much to have that made. But then again I am certainly no expert on that. If you are interested in the muffler I will make a good deal on it, I really want to get it out of my garage.

I think we are thinking of the same muffler shop? he has some kind of 3 wheel bike with long pipes sticking in the air out front of his buisness!
