That is incorrect. The next ZO6 will have a 6.3 litre 500 horsepower motor. They didn't choke down a 427 to achieve the 500 horsepower. The 427 is the motor they were/are? going to be using for project blue devil. The car they are considering building to whoop up on the ford GT. It will have somewhere between 600 and 650 horsepower, what a 427 should have. All this info is straight from motortrend, who I would think would be a more reliable source than corvette magazine. That is why the web site pulled the pictures, because it isn't true. Hope I didn't burst anyones bubble, but like I said the next ZO6 will have a 6.3 litre 500 horsepower motor.
The "other" motor you might be refering to would br a 6.4 liter...not a 6.3. Thats going in several other vehicles.
No one will know for absolutely sure until it comes out but all evidence lately...including these pics and several others sais 427.
Project "blue Devil" is a twin turbo car..Jay Leno already has a working prototype of this motor from GM and its hitting over 1000 hp.
Its funny because that entire article is now removed. If it were not true I believe Corvette Magazine would have replaced it with a "correction" to the info posted. They didnt and removed it completely and replaced it with an old article. Obviously this wasnt meant to get out yet. Only time will tell...but I am thinking its a 427.

The "Blue Devil" prototype that Jay Leno managed to get. Note its the same intake as the new LS7. This car is also a 7.0 liter. This car was at Sema.
