Default SES Light Question

95 Z28 LT1 OBD1
132K miles
All Stock
car hesitates when accellerating, but only when the car is already in motion (say im doing 40, and i accell more, it hesistates unless i punch the gas and then it hauls major ass)

SES light comes on 2-3 times every day....but only when i first start the car. its off when i start, drive for about ~5 minutes and it comes on. stays on for a mile or 2, then goes away. cycle repeats 2-3 times, then never happens again for the rest of my trip.

i get to my destination, and i park, go inside, work etc. i leave to go somewhere else, same process happens.

mainly, its only when i first start the car, after its driven for a while it never comes back.

anyone had this happen to their car before?
any thoughts on what it may be?

the only thing i can think of it being is if it was the Knock Module being bad, and it needs to be upgraded to the LT4 Module

Yep.

There is an SES code for intermittant missfires. I bet you need to look at a tune up for that Opti.

Oh god, I did an Opti in my garage once... christ it sucked. With the aid of PBR we got through it though. Let me know if you need help or any info. I have a link for a picture by picture removal and install somewhere...

when i give it enough gas, the car seamlessly hauls ass.
car feels good at an idle, its not sputtering or anything like that, just the normal rumble of a 275hp v8, + a ticking/squeak noise

my air intake where it meets the TB, that, when installed is the bottom of it. im thinking that may be my problem...too much air going in at the TB? because of the rip/tear?
its making the ECU flip out a lil bit maybe telling it its a lil bit too much air in the air/fuel mix ratios?

im just brainstorming ideas, since i dont have a reader

Phinger my intake elbow looks exactly the same. It ripped when i was putting it over my BBK TB. I get no hesitation or sputtering of any sort. Run codes and go from there i gues GL with it all
