Default NX maximizer

I'm going with a nitrous setup during the Christmas time. I saw a good deal on this:

I was wondering if anyone has any success with these controllers. It pulses the solenoids, so I'm not sure how that will effect the longetivity of the solenoids. I have a NX kit, and I've read that their solenoids were proven to be able to withstand the pulsing.

The thing is I'm not going to run that much nitrous, 80-100 shot with a direct port kit. However, I have a FWD pos and this kit could also control the nitrous in different gears which will alleviate some of the traction issues. One other thing that I was looking for was a timing retard (Jacobs mastermind has this feature) when nitrous is activated. However, it does not look like this is a feature with the NX controller. I can just retard the car 1 or 2 degree.

Although the amount of nitrous I'm running is minimal, is this still a valuable addition? I know NX makes quality components. Please share your experiences with NX or other progressive controllers.

Thanks.

You are definately on the right track! I saw that new Nx controller at PRI last year...its a kick ass little setup. The guy had the program loaded on a palm pilot. Tons of features.

It will be harder on the noids. Just rebuild them at regular intervals and you will do fine.

They are hard on solenoids and most are time rather than rpm based. I looked into that route and instead went with window switches and soon to be added multile stages.

I cant see the pic either...but if its the latest generation NX controller...it pretty much does it all. Time based, rpm based, gear counter for multiple ramp rates for different gears etc.

It will be harder on the noids though.

I guess the pic went down. I'd do a 2 stage, but it's pretty complicated and I don't think I'm going to spray enough to put two bottles in my car.

Here is what NX says "This unit uses a Palm PDA to upload and display the Maximizer information. This
is the ONLY unit on the market with a built in RPM activated window switch with gear counting
capability, the fi rst with a TPS switch to activate or de-activate the nitrous system. The Maximizer
also has a delay on, or delay off feature, will ramp up or down for turbo cars, and you can change the
ramp parameters for each gear. Finally, the unit will piggyback on your O2’s to allow the monitoring
of the engine air/fuel ratios."

I think I'm going to pick it up. Thanks.
Also, do you guys know where I can get the metal nitrous tubes at?

the tubes that goes from the fuel/nitrous distribution blocks to the foggers in a direct port kit.
