fuel pump estimate?
I have a buddy w/ a '97 GMC Yukon, and he has been quoted 500-700 dollars to replace the fuel pump. Now I know this part should cost somewhere around $100, so that sounds too expensive for the job... Can anyone help me determine a fair price for this job, so I know my friend isn't getting ripped off?

Never done a Yukon. But it seems that would be easier than an F body. Id say around $250-$300 would be more reasonable. I think some of the problem may be that the stock pumps are actually a bit pricey.
You should call a dealership and see what they run. That way youll know what they are talking about for labor.
