Default engine probb

my freinds 89 buick century station wagon and my uncles early 90s olds cutlass both have this problem....

one day they just ka-put, stopped running. we checked it out and it turns over, its gettin gas, but no spark. went and bought new spark plug wires, and spark plugs and its still not gettin ne spark. tested all the connections and wires and they showed up ok.... anyone kno what the problem is???
help is greatly apriciated. thanks

distributor cap, rotor, distributor itself, or power to the distributor. Check all 4.

its a distributor-less systems.
the crank/cam sensor is brand new.
the coils and module have been checked out and are good.

It could be the timing belt/chain. If so, the cam wont move so the ignition coils wont get the signal to send spark. I'm guessing this signal must go through the computer to determine if the spark needs to be advanced or retarded so it could be bad as well or not getting power for some reason.
