Default Finally made it to the track

Well last night I finally made it to bradenton. I wasn't too happy with my times. My best run was 12.98 @ 109.74 on a 2.0 60'
I think with some better traction and better weather, I should get the times down a bit though.

6 speed tranny and gearing is tough to get right. Launching a 6 speed is even harder. You have a great trap speed...enough for mid 12s easy. Get that 60 foot down to a 1.80 and you will be mid 12 no problem.

once the tranny is fixed, I will be getting some nittos, and then a cam. How hard should I be able to launch the car with the nittos. I quess I should address the axle hop problem that I have as well. Any recomendations on that?

for the most part the car was very consistant. 5 of my runs ranged from 12.98 to 13.072. Those runs all had 2.0 60'. My other 3 runs were in the 2.2 range and I had one missed shift. The hardest I launched on any of my passes was a 2000 rpms. I just need to get some DRs and try again I quess.

i would think it does, but are there aftermarket LCA's and subframe connectors on the car? and are you dumping the clutch, or feathering it out.

Yes the car has LCAs and subframes. I wasn't really dumping the clutch, atleast I don't think I was dumping it that hard, mabey thats my problem, just getting a bit too excited.
