what tranny is in the 04 Silverado 1500?
need to know if its a 4L80E or what... im going to put one in my 79 TA but i dont know what wires to tap into to control converter lock up and Overdrive.

I hear the 4L80 is tough to do a swap. It has to be electroncally controlled. TCI I belive makes a 4L80 controller that is stand alone

yea, i know for a fact its harder than the 4L60E, but the 4L80E is stout as a Mofo... thats why im tryin to figure out if i can use TPS switches or even something as simple as a switch to energize the solenoids.
