Never heard of pulling the PCM BATT fuse, but it sounds easy enough. You can disconnect the batt. like Mars said, but any set codes will remain and will appear again once the problem occurs, with the same code showing up twice or more on a scanner, so you should have it scanned and delete any codes if you have any. If your car is a '96-up OBD2 model, you can take it to AutoZone where they can scan it for free and delete any codes for you; I just had mine done yesterday when the SES light came on for the air pump, but luckily there is a recall for the air pump on my '97 so off to the dealer I go for some free service.

battery has to be disconnected for at least 20 minutes.
