LT1 loses power in upper RPM range
my lt1 loses power around 4-4500 rpms... i dont know why.. the only mods i have are intake, muffler, pulleys and some free shit like that throttle body bypass and blocked off elbow penis thinggy... i think it might have something to do with spark or engine temp?? anyways if you have any help please tell me!!

Only high rpms?
Could be a couple different things, but the big question is .... does it still have the original optispark? If so, they tend to give in approximately 70,000-80,000 miles.
I remember before my mom's z28's opti went the car would hesitate and spudder from about 5,500-6,000rpms.
Good luck.

opti's are about 400 or so (93/94 are unvented) but what does it do, does it sputter, does it rev above that, does the power feel like it goes away then comes back again?

it pulls strong up to about 4500 rpms and then it just feels like it loses power... no sputtering just doesnt accelerate as fast anymore

Dal at vandevere oldsmobile in akron ohio or Jason cromer at samtaylorbuick in pensacola florida has teh best deals on optis..
200 bucks for a vented.. think 280 or something for nonvented
Try hooking up a fuel pressure gauge, tape it to your windshield and haul ass through RPMS to see if fuel pressure drops.
Try using some engine restore or sea foam to clean out the engine.

It's an a4 with 2.73 gears .. maybe they programed it that way so it wouldn't bog down real bad when it shifts gears.
