Question Curious....

I have an 1984 Z28 Auto sitting in Georgia.

The car currently has a late 70's 305 or 350 in it (not sirem and the car is 250 miles away).

I would like to replace the motor/tranny (convert to manual).

Which motor would you suggest? Looking for something cheap. Also, any place online that sells complete motor/tranny swaps cheap???

Charles

ummm, i believe pace performance is the cheapest online crate motor provider.

you might be able to convert to a T5...what exactly you wanting, just a daily, or you looking for performance...honestly any motor can go in, its just about how much your willing to dish out.

put a 350 LT1 in it.. you can find them cheap used.. actually you can find them cheap as crate motors too.. they are an all around good motor for street/strip or just daily driving and they put out way more power than a 305.

Converting from automatic to manual transmission is a pain in the ass. It will probably double the installation cost.
