Can anyone install my sound system for me please?I've had it in my garage for SOOOOOO long.And it's quite good,so why collect dust?I would provide whatever you need to install it,like wires and whatever you may need.It's a kenwood cd deck,2 12's that i don't have a box for yet,2 amps,and i would use the stock speakers untill i get some that fit my car.I have 4 old ones but they're wrong sizes i'm pretty sure.It's for a 2001 camaro ss with the stock monsoon casette deck.I'm willing to pay as long as it's a reasonable price.I've done those things before and it's a pain in the ass and i said i would never do it again. So if anyone wants to do it please let me know,so that i can buy whatever you may need and scramble all the parts together.

Do you have the adapter that converts the signal.

The monsoon and aftermarket decks run different ohms. A
PAC OEM-1 or Scosche FA1-1A-GM2 would be a good investment. Think they are 15 bucks. Otherwise you'll probably get a hiss or the bose will distort sooner.

Doing the after market headunit to stock bose system is a pain in the ass... i'd wait until u get speakers with it too.. much less head ache.

have fun! I tried every which way to retain the stock stuff but it was soo much easier to just rip out everything and rewire the whole car and all the speakers.

I can do that for ya!! I am in the middle of a install on a 93 f-body same shit that BOSE/ stuff should be thrown in the trash. do you have a place in the shade to work on it. for 4 speakers/head unit and 2 amps, wiring. Install would run about 100-125, and no i do not make boxes you'll have to buy one of them somewhere.

Yo Yo I am listen to this I will be going through this same thng soon. I am just planing on changing the head unit for now, it that a problem with the bose also? I have a 95 Z28. Another question if you have T-tops, where the hell do you put subs?

 

There are boxes that fold up so the subs are pointing towards the rear window when you put your t tops in the trunk,and some boxes are made to leave some room for the t-tops.

 

Yo, hit me up. Me an my boy can hook up damn near any system on any car for reasonable $$$. I would get the adapters mentioned above but ALSO (to eliminate the "hiss or bass distortion") get a good crossover (the part everyone forgets!) Anyways I am in St. Pete and my boy is in NPR so we tend to be mobile.
