carb problems..
Oh boy, feedback carbs....yuck. Actually they're pretty reliable if you leave it alone and not try to mod it.
My family's "spare car" '85 Z28 has 200K miles on the original motor/carb and it is only recently that it has started giving my old man, who uses the car on occasion, trouble with the choke.
Last time I priced those carbs they were all in the $300.00 range for remanufactured ones from local auto parts stores, and this was a few years ago.
I figure since in my situation since the engine is so old and has high mileage, it should be cheaper to get one from a salvage yard that's already been pulled off a junker and pre-tested. Could be an option for you.
