I know the WS6 models look sweet, but you could save money going for a regular T/A unless you really want a WS6 car; the only major thing you will lose is the Ram Air hood, 17-inch wheels, and heavier duty suspension, otherwise there really is no difference between a regular T/A or WS6 version.

You ask about interchangeability? Yeah, I guess a lot of parts will interchange for the LS1 years from '98-'02, like the intake manifold and heads and such, but you really can't go wrong with any year you get because the basic engine is so good from the factory...no need to swap motors like you Honda guys. Just do a search and see if you can live with some of the quirks associated with owning these cars ie.) huge dash, cheap plastic, etc. I know I can.
Ok that;s the kinda info I need about these cars before I go looking at them this weekend..............Is the huge dash really that bad??? I noticed the cheap plastic in some other model GM's I just didnt know if it was in the T/A WS-6 as well.thanx for the info man, I really appreciate it...

Not a factory option. They were cars retrofitted by SLP.

No the dash isnt as bad as people make it out. Neither is the cat hump in the passenger seat.

The WS6 has the same everything else as a TA, just gets a hood and rims, as stated previously.

I know the L82 was a carbed, high performance 350 for the '80s C3 Vettes. When the C4 came they had that Cross-Fire injected 350, which was a carryover from the last few years or so of the C3. I believe there was a one year, '83 I think, where there was no Vette produced because of the transition from C3 to C4 and I'm pretty sure the L82 died with the C3. I'm not sure whether the L98 came out in '84 or '85 in the C4.

Mugen, personally I like the interior of the T/A better. The dash and door panels look better, as well as the more supportive seats. The dash size is not all that bad, but the hard, plastic forward half is prone to cracking and they tend to reflect in the windshield, especially after some ArmorAll.

Well, back in the day I use to drive around a 97 z28 and I loved the car. The big dash and hump in the floor didn't bother me at all.

L88's too! there really is no "L" series...there are just generations...LT1 is 2nd generation, LS1 is 3rd generation and LS2 is 4th gen i believe.

i dont think Z28's came with the LT4, i think it was just SS's, Firehawks, and Banshee's(?)

and no ther parts arent really interchangeable, like honda does with b series to b series, and d series to d series. LS1's are interchangeable with LS6's...but thats about it, and no huge gain from that, they are kinda expensive to mod, but very well worth it! minimal mods, and i mean minimal, put you into the 12's. and contrary to what imports like to say, we actually get decent gas mileage...i mean shit, im supercharged and im still pullin off 18-20 in the city, and 25-28 on the highway.
