Default brake lights don't work

ok, here's my problem:

My parking lights work, but not my brake lights. I have tested the brake light switch and that's OK. I have changed the bulbs...nothing. I have checked the fuse and that's good.

I have a 95 Chevy Lumina (car), and need some help. Can someone help me please? What do you think the problem is?

look around your brake pedal, there is a little plastic button/switch thing that activates the brake lights, if it breaks off or something, it could cause that problem or its stuck.

Haha, that'll be hard to do on U.S. 19.

I have checked the "brake light switch" and it's functional.

Look for a "stop light" or "brake light" fuse.

If that turns out ok, you need to get a test light and start chasing the wires that feed your brake lights from one end of the car to the other. Check all connections as well.

Does the car have a hitch? Just wondering, possibly corrosion from tapping into the factory wiring harness when wiring for a hitch could cause this.

I have checked the fuse. It checked good, but I changed it out already. As for the brake light switch, I have checked that and it checked good, but I changed that too. I have power going to the lights, but still no brake lights. I thank everyone for the help, any and all suggestions are still appreciated.

I will be calling a parts dept. today to see if they can help!

Thanks again.
