At least GM has never had a recall because the car did not make the advertised horsepower.

Wrong! Except people don't complain when they have more than the advertised power,

Um....no.

There was a law suit that alleged this but it was not proven. Also Dateline NBC picked up the story and tried to do a recreation of one exploding on impact but they could not get it to happen untill they rigged a test vehicle with explosive squibs. That may be what you are thinking of.

LOL... yeah, Ford likes to wait untill hundreds die from SUV roll overs first.

Tires failing has nothing to do with the car no matter how the media wants to spin it. Hear about anymore roll over problems now that Firestone is gone ? Did't think so.

One more side note to the reliability issues tell me how many 80's-90's Camaros you see running around vs. the same timeframe Mustangs. That says enough about reliability.
Reliability doesnt have much to do with that.... Mustang parts are a whole lot more plentiful compared to F body parts of that year and a whole lot cheaper. How many Mustangs of that era do you see stock? Many more parts, so people are building those.

Are you still stuck on the hump? How many 4' people are riding in the pass side? Its not in the way. The windshield is no big deal expecpt of cleaning it, but I do have a problem with half the motor under the cowl
