My light still comes on with the button off the only difference is the pedal doesn't jar my knee into my chest!

 

I only had my low trac light come on once in my V6 and that was while i was driving during the rain...it came with SGS, not that it really needed it.
ASR is very annoying ...... if you turn it off that amber light is always on in your dash, it always comes on when you start your car, and when it is in action the gas pedals snaps back at you....very annoying system

 

Yea the light is annoying , right now my radiator sensor is bad and a vacum leak (where?????) so I have the christams tree effect going,lol!

 

Andy the radiator sensor is $20 from the dealership, and pretty easy to replace.

 

I ordered my camaro ss 2002 without the ASR, Do burnouts and never seen or noticed an ASR light come on. Did you purchase yours new or used? If used maybe someone before you disconected it and the sending unit is still attached to the computer OBD. On the 96+ ASR retards the spark to the motor to lower the power output till traction is picked up.

 

Is your radiator light coming on, too? My mom's 97 z has had the service engine soon light and the radiator light on for like a year now. The service engine is the egr, but never could figure out why the radiator light was on, probably something else maher chevrolet fucked up.
