Default supercharger questions

i got a question fellas, ive been lookin at a few superchargers, most recently a 6-71 weiand street setup. problem is that they dont answer my Q's on the site. it says that on a stock engine with 8-9 compression that the supercharger produces about 50% more power at 6 lbs. but says nothing about built engines. mine has forged internals with a steel crank and 9.5 to 1 comp. it says at 9.5 to 1 i can only run 4-5 lbs on a stock engine. but seeing as how mine is not stock, does that mean i can run a lil more? also im going from a 62 cc head to a 72 cc head with bigger int. and exh. valves, shouldnt this drop my comp ratio?

thanks for all your help in advance.

Yes you should be able to run more boost with your built motor. How much more is another question...hopefully someone here will be able to point you in the right direction.

a 72cc head will drop the compression but u know for sure that you have 9.5 compression???
So u just look at the 9.5 compression if thats what its been tested to be.

weiand... not familar with there stuff... but i think thats the roots style blower right?

well 6 lbs is usually fairly safe on a stock LT1 10.5:1 or LS1 motor at 10.2:1 .... Some argue you can get more like 9 safely but i dont have enough experience on them... just what i read on cz28.com and most would say 9 is too much unless u know what your doing.
So your at 9.5 on a forged engine.. I'd think 9 lbs would be no problem... I would even say 12 would be no problem with an intercooler.

Course I'd do more reseach into it.
