LT4 conversion kit is over priced and u dont get enough power..
Ive actually only known 1 person to do it.. And i helped him get rid of it and put together a set up that would work better and get him the power he wanted..

Andy man.. u still have tuning to go through and a converter... If u get traction with a higher stall converter your going to knock more than just a tenth off your time... buy yeah man im like you... do the best u can with the money and only expect the lower results so im happy with the better results.
LT4 heads are nice and all but unless you rework them to get them to be killer heads they arent worth it... It cost me 700 bucks to get better cfm flowing lt1 heads and better valves. The LT4 production cam is too small... I dont see how its possible to get 362 rwhp (425 fly wheel with a 15% drivetrain loss) with that cam. Even if they offer the LT4 hotcam that still is hard to get.
Basically you got some nice heads but overpriced if not worked with a dinky cam that cant make good use of the heads.
Lingenfelter said/wrote something to the effect- You do not want to put put a small cam in with good heads.
The guy who did the top end LT4 conversion could only squeeze 300rwhp out of his car with a dyno tune... I think he had multiple problems though...
Small cam hurt a lot
I think he followed the haines manual roller rocker guide and tighted then a full turn past 0 lash. which hurts a lot..

At least the LT1 is getting some attention now what with Edelbrock and Trick Flow offering some new heads, as well as the expensive AFR's.
