any one know anythign about it i just got doen doing about 2 hours of serching. and ever thing i find on doing it u have to pay to read. so if any one has any info pleas let me know. o its a 86 s10 was a v6. now no mototr no trans awaiting a v8.

its nothing, youll need the s10 motor mounts from jegs or summit, short water pump, and they make headers for it as well,depending if your planning on tbi or carb, carb just get the mounts and start putting it in,

 

im doign carb. i didi soem more serching found motor mounts for $45. headers $128, and they said i would need a mini starter and a chorvette radiatar. dunno about that tho. next question is about the tranny. well it just bolt in or well i need custom mounts as well

 

Talk to the guy Vince(DaTruth) metioned earlier in this thread. He is very cool, and very knowledgable on the S10 platform. He will talk your ear off if you let him, Your application is a little different from what he is doing for S10's now (Supercharged LS1's into S10 extremes)but well worth a trip over there to pick his brain a little.

 

Lee took me for a ride in one of his supercharged LS1's mounted in a S10 and it was insane. The truck rode like stock when we were just cruising. I have been in a bunch of fast cars and trucks in my life, but this truck was sick. We stopped by a gas station to put some gas in the truck. I purchased a mountain dew and a snickers. We rode up the street and Lee told me he was going to do a U-turn and then head back to the shop. Lee said I better hold on, I was like Yeah, yeah.. Lee did the U-turn and floored it and I damned there choked on the snickers and my mountain dew was all over me. If I had a S10 Extreme and I wanted a sleeper I would not hesitate in taking the truck to Lee for his setup. Lee is not the fastest person when it comes to giving you your car/truck back, but when you get it back it is going to be right. The last time I was over there one of his employees had a basic S10 with a V8 conversion. It was nice as well. No mods except for the swap.
